Abstract:
Design thinking is a learning method that is commonly used at post-graduate level students in the department of marketing, entrepreneurship, and design. This method aims to solve the problem by the students. This method is also used for social innovation. Leadership courses in management Parahyangan Catholic University tried to use design thinking method to be applied in social innovation project which is the final project of the course. The aim of this research is to measure the effectiveness of design thinking method in undergraduate level. This research used qualitative methods by taking a sample of the students in management class who take leadership course. The evaluation will use reflection task. The design thinking process consists of these 5 steps: [1] emphatize, [2] define, [3] ideate, [4] prototype, and [5] test. As the result, the student can apply design thinking method until step 5.
