Evaluasi kinerja bus Trans Jogja sebagai sistem transportasi publik

Abstract

Transportation has been one of the complex problems in large cities in developing countries. Therefore, the transportation system has to be improved to reduce the complex transportation problem. Road authorities realized that public transportation that provides rapid urban mobility, low fare price and comfortable journey to its customers is one of solutions to ease the problem. In 2008 the government of Jogjakarta Province organised Bus Trans Jogja as a public transportation system in Yogyakarta. However, it unknown what is the performance of Bus Trans Jogja as bus rapid transit based on the passengers’ perception toward minimum service standards. The aim of this study is to evaluate the performance evaluation of Bus Trans Jogja as a public transportation system. The results showed that the passengers quite satisfied with twenty four out of twenty seven standards of minimum services standards.
