Abstract:
The Research Institute for Housing and Human Settlements under the Ministry of Public Works and Housing developed the RISHA prefabricated structures technology which is known as Simple Healthy Instant House in 2004. The original plan for this innovation was to produce affordable houses but the concept has also been applied to elementary school buildings in order to accelerate the construction and rehabilitation of schools in Indonesia. This is observed from the establishment of the standardization of school design using RISHA technology by the Directorate General of Human Settlements as regulated in SE DJCK PUPR Number 47 of 2020. It is important to note that the
circular letter for this development was only enforced after the construction of 240 school buildings using RISHA. Therefore, this research aims to review the compatibility design parameters of existing school buildings based on the circular letter. This is an evaluative research and the data obtained were analyzed through a mixed-method approach. Most of the data were obtained from interviews conducted with RISHA applicators and observations of five case research of Elementary Schools in Cianjur and North Sumatra that
have implemented RISHA in addition to the information from the literature review. The 80 design parameters used showed that the average level of conformity is 58 out of a scale of 100. Moreover, the percentage of design parameters required not to be developed, developed, and further evaluated and developed were found to be 42.5%, 15%, and 20%, respectively, while 3,75% were mutually contradictory.
