dc.description.abstract The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) research indicated that Indonesian female entrepreneurs were higher rate for discontinuance compare with male. This research explores a question about role of gender in discontinuance decision, and determinant reason of female for quiting business. Using the GEM Adult Population Survey in 2013-2016, consist of 19,120 of adult, covering 23 provinces. Chi-square test and logistic regression analysis were applied. The result shows the significant role of gender for discontinuance, and determinant reason of female for quiting business, mostly of personal or family reason. The result suggest decision maker for designing a particular entrepreneurship program for female. en_US
