Abstract:
CSR as an enterprise's social program seem likely still to be euphoria. Therefore, the real aims of that program are not yet enjoyed by the society as a whole. By using 96 respondents, the result shown that only 8% of them have
done the CSR programs appropriately, while the rest of them actually are still doing no more than charity or philanthropy. It means that most of the large and
medium businesses in Bandung, were not yet care enough of the CSR programs. The result of the research also shown that there was a gap between what they perceived and what they really do in the CSR programs. This, because of the
understanding of the CSR definition were differ each other. Our finding also indicates that most the businesses actors, especially in Bandung were still categorized as obstructionists and defenders rather than accommodative and
proactive. This means that they are still low in the practices of social responsibility. Because of the urgency of the CSR to the wealth of society and environmental issues, we are as the members of academic community should always socialized it as much as possible to the students and the world of businesses to care more about all the stakeholders.
