dc.description.abstract The parking problem is an issue possibly faced by city authorities of Rotterdam. Given the data set of the parking bays an Hoogstraat, we want to explore the data by using statistical techniques to solve some problems and offer some suggestions. We find that the lognormal disfribution is a suitable continuous disfribution for actual parking times, that the number of the parking bays is more than sufficient, that there is no linear correlation between parking ticket's time and actual parking time, and that a certain average people park 14.91 minutes longer than planned. en_US
