dc.description.abstract |
As a discipline, Industrial Engineering (IE) is concerned with the design,
improvement, and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, information,
equipment, and energy. It is Industrial Engineers’ responsibility to be able to specify,
predict, and evaluate the performances to be obtained from such systems. Efficiency
is one of among several performance measurements suitable for a system. This
paper introduces Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to determine if a system is
operating efficiently. Calculations were carried out by the software WinQSB. |
