Nowadays, people begin to observe materials which have the aesthetics value for their houses. One of the most demanded materials is the "Klinker Stone" which has more values compared to the traditional "Red Stone" in texture, color, and high pressure ability. Most of the customers prefer the imported "Klinker Stone" rather than the local one. In order to survive in competition, the producers of "Klinker Stone" have to improve the quality of their product. This research was held in Balai Besar Keramik to determine which significant factors influence the pressure ability of "Klinker Stone" and define the level of combinations from each factor which give maximum pressure ability. The data were analyzed using Response Surface Methodology as an approach to Taguchi Method to determine the level for each factor which gives significant influence. This research found that composition of materials, pressure, heating temperature, and interactions of those factors have given significant impact to the pressure ability of the "Klinker Stone". |
