dc.description.abstract The increase of the number of human population make the need of fuel rising. To replace fossil fuel, biodiesel become one of alternatives. However, biodiesel has higher cloud point and higher pour point than petrodiesel which is become its weakness. There is way to enhance biodiesel quality by adding Glycerol Tert Butyl Ether (GTBE) which is produced by reacting glycerol with isobutene This research is aimed to assess the effects of the various operating conditions against GTBE concentration. In this research, process development also performed so that the process becomes more efficient. Research started by literature studying and learning about the simulator software (Aspen Plus). Validation is done by comparing the result of model simulation with literature. Simulation is performed by changing the feed condition and the process condition so that the effects to GTBE concentration are known. Process Development is done by changing batch reactor to CSTR reactor. Getting the best reactor condition, the flowsheet is developed by adding separation and recycle system. en_US
